When a reminder fires while you’re in thc, a toast offers x done z snooze Z ack. From the
shell, thc today and thc agenda --days 7 print the same thing, and --why says why each
row is there (← scheduled · repeating).

Across vaults, every line says where it’s from. With more than one vault, each row ends with
its vault’s name in that vault’s colour, and the header says which vaults Today covers
(Today · all vaults (3)). Press * to choose: all vaults, just this one, or a checkbox
per vault. The choice is for this device; s in the picker makes it the default
everywhere.

it’s built: each section, how many it holds, its query, and what that means with the dates
filled in. e edits it in your editor (as Title · query lines), c copies it

Lists keep their order. Clicking, opening and coming back never reshuffle a list. A task you finish stays where it is, dimmed, until you come back to the view (or press ⌃L), and something an agent adds appears without moving your selection. Only a sort change reorders on screen.
2 · Inbox
Things captured without a home: from thc add --inbox, from agents, or from the drop/ folder
in your vault (save a .md or .txt file there from your phone, and each paragraph or list
item becomes an inbox item). Triage each
one with m (move to a page or day), t (make it a task), d (give
it a date), x (done) or D (delete). The cursor moves on after each, so
triage is fast.
3 · Tasks
Every open task, filtered by a query. Press f (or /) and type, for example
status:open #work due<=+7d sort:due. Saved views sit on a row under 1–9.
At 120 columns the list becomes a table with due, scheduled, priority, where and who. Press
, to change the sort. Esc closes the filter without wiping your query.

4 · Pages
Your pages, with how many open items each has. Type to find one; Enter (or
→, or a double-click) opens it in the editor. Pages are made by linking
([[Name]]) or from the finder (+ new page).
4 always shows this list, never a page. The cursor rests on the page you opened last, so 4 Enter reopens it, and Esc in a page comes back here.
Back and forward. ⌘[ and ⌘] (or ⌃⌥← / ⌃⌥→ in any terminal) move
through the places you’ve been, like a browser: pages, days, views and vaults, with the cursor
where you left it. :history lists them, and a click goes there. Esc is different: it
goes up, to where you started (after following three links, Esc returns to the list
or day you began on, while ⌘[ goes to the page before).
In a terminal 120 columns or wider, a page has a rail of your pages on its left (recent
first, then A–Z, with open counts): click one to switch. A journal day gets a rail of days.
Narrower, a crumb (¶ Pages › Health) sits above the title instead. page_rail = false under
[tui] turns the rail off.

Full text across pages, tags and notes, as you type. Enter opens the match in

Today, Agenda, Inbox and Tasks are built-in views made of sections, each section a query.
thc view ls lists them with your own. Today, as shipped:

Around the edges
- The detail pane (\, at 120+ columns): everything about the selected item, plus its history and links.
- Contexts (C, or
thc context work): show only what matches a saved view, for example only#workwhile you’re at work. It’s always named in the header while it’s on, so nothing is ever hidden without you knowing. It’s local to this device and never synced. - Vaults (V): switch between vaults, each with its own colour.
- Focus (⌥Z while writing): hides everything but your words. Choose what stays with
:focus. - The leader (Space, in any list): a panel shows every command, grouped by what it does. space g go, space f find, space n new, space t toggle, space v saved views. You never need to remember a key: press Space and read. ⌫ steps back, Esc closes. While writing, Space is just a space.
- Help (F1, or ? in lists): the keys for exactly where you are, grouped. ? ? shows every key everywhere.
- The palette (:, or space space): every command by name, with its key. Type a few letters and press Enter.
